A friend accompanied me on my visit to the Batu Caves and Thean Hou Temple. The priests were really welcoming of two chinese guys paying respects. The other indian devotees also made space so we could be near the front as well.
The other nice thing to see were the Indian and Muslim visitors to Thean Hou Temple. One Indian devotee was even lighting joss sticks.
Watching an embracing of each other's cultures and religions is always soothing and calming after a crazy week.

Arul arrived in KL and she wanted to visit the Batu Caves. I've been in KL 3 years but I never took the time to make a visit. I'm glad for her arrival as I got to see how beautiful and serene the place really is.
The Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to god Murugan.
Here are some pictures from today.

Rita's thoughts on the view in the last pic: serenity behind you and the chaos of the city & life in front of you
After that ... I brought Arul and Rita to the Thean Hou Temple in Brickfields where I got a Buddha for my home.
